Water-Zoo Indoor Waterpark Featuring OpenAire Retractable Roof Opens to Acclaim from Online Community
– October 17, 2012 – After months of anticipation from its Facebook community, the Water-Zoo Indoor Waterpark
opened its doors to the public in Clinton, Oklahoma - the state's first indoor waterpark. The attraction features a 600 gallon Tipping Bucket, Tornado Bowl, over 300,000 gallons of water and over 500 feet of water slides, all housed under a retractable roof enclosure designed, manufactured and built by OpenAire to make Water-Zoo.com Indoor Waterpark a year-round destination for tourists and locals alike.
The retractable roof is 132 feet-long by 184 feet-wide, covering a space of 28,000 square feet. The roof enclosure opens up to channel in a stream of fresh, summer air throughout the waterpark and closes during inclement weather and in colder months to shelter guests as they splash around in abundant natural light.
really is the ideal solution for waterparks,” says David Bolwerk, Vice President Sales & Marketing, OpenAire. "Revenues are never at the mercy of the weather, which dramatically increases profitability. Plus, the structures are eco-friendly and remarkably energy efficient, which translates to significant cost savings when compared with traditional facilities.”
Water-Zoo.com Indoor Waterpark has already received a tremendous response, with one guest saying, "Had so much fun at the new water park in Clinton! Such a nice attraction to have in Western OK and not have to drive all of the way to the City! The staff was all very friendly and helpful!”
The waterpark's official grand opening is scheduled for November 2012. Photos of Water-Zoo's water rides and stunning retractable roof can be viewed on its Facebook
