The City of Fairfield, California, has opened a beautiful aquatic center featuring an OpenAire retractable roof. Built to replace an outdated outdoor pool, the new Allan Witt Aquatic Complex allows area families an enviable indoor/outdoor swimming
experience; the roof opens up when the weather is good to take advantage of fresh air and sunlight, and closes on cold, windy or rainy days so area residents can still enjoy their swim.

June 9, 2010 – A state-of-the-art, LEED Gold certified aquatic center has opened its doors to the appreciative residents of Salinas, California, featuring a spectacular retractable pool enclosure by OpenAire.

OpenAire designed and built the beautiful structure in collaboration with GLASS ARCHITECTS, the designers of the Aquatic Center. Together, the two firms have changed the way Salinas patrons swim and play.

OAKVILLE, ON – February 10, 2010 – Donetsk, Ukraine will soon boast the largest aluminum-domed indoor waterpark in the world. Scheduled to open in the fall of 2011, the Royal Marine Aquapark dome is the creation of Oakville-based OpenAire, which specializes in totally unique structures that incorporate retractable roofing systems. OpenAire has created retractable roofing enclosures for water parks, hotels, community centres and other commercial applications.
 
4/3/2008 - OpenAire Saves on Energy Even in the Coldest Climates
The Royal Glenora Club of Edmonton, AB asked OpenAire to commission an energy analysis comparing an OpenAire building to conventional construction. The hope was to overcome skeptical club members doubts about a glazed building in the north.

The results, independently varified by the clubs own engineers, showed that even in northern Alberta the combination of solar gain, natural light and natural venting provide superior energy performance.
 
11/21/2007 - Boys & Girls Club Realizes Big Energy Savings
The Boys & Girls Club of Dorchester, MA engaged an independent engineer to compare how an OpenAire building would perform relative to conventional construction. The result was an astonishing 27% total energy savings by using OpenAire.
