Challenge:
This public pool in Bocholt, Germany wanted to extend the look of their exisitng glazed dome enclosure to an outdoor pool but did not want to lose the outdoor feel of the pool. OpenAire was chosen because of its unique ability to meet custom design needs.
 
  Technical Information:
The OpenArie enclosure is 55'-11"x116'-4". The 1" (25mm) polycarbonate roof has been made to open an additional 10' down either slope (a standard roof would open approximately 50% of the rafter length). OpenAire extended the upper rafter 10' on either side of the enclosure. This means that swimmers enjoy a 20' wider opening. In combination with the sliding doors along one side the OpenAire roof has allowed this pool to retain its outdoor feel.
