Challenge:
The Lincoln Park Zoo is engaged in an ongoing construction project to improve and update various exhibits. OpenAire was chosen to provide five skylights of various descriptions to help create the most natural settings possible for the zoo animals in those exhibits

The operable OpenAire skylights (some opening from the bottom up some from the top down), glazed with 1" (25mm) clear polycarbonate, were designed to maximize natural light and fresh air for the animals below.
 
  The recent Lincoln Park Zoo project has won the "Project of the Year Award" from Midwest Construction Magazine.
