Challenge:
The owners of the Flowers Restaurant (now AZ Restaurant) 21 West 17th Street, New York, NY, wanted to create a unique eating experience. In order to maximize the floor space of the restaurant they decided to enclose the roof top area.

 
  Solution:
OpenAire offered the ideal solution with a retractable glass skylight. The space is a formal dining area. To blend the skylight structure into this setting OpenAire's thermally broken aluminum frame was clad in wood. The skylight opens 50% of the roof area providing diners with an extraordinary outdoor experience.
