Residential #10, U.S.

Treff Lafleche of LDA architects in Cambridge, MA was confronted with a dilemma. He had a client interested in enclosing a pool with a conservatory style building. The building was to have a retractable glass roof while maintaining a traditional Victorian look. In addition, the structure had to be built to accommodate Nana Wall Systems to allow a maximum sidewall opening.

OpenAire provided the solution. Working with LDA Architects and GF Rhode Construction, OpenAire was able to provide an elegant solution to meet the client's needs. The building rests on a stone knee wall and includes finials along the ridge, custom eave detailing, simulated divided lites in the transom, and three 16' bays containing an accodian style folding door system by Nana Wall Systems (only OpenAire could meet Nana's low tolerance for deflection).
